Which links are affiliate links

Only "Visit vendor" links can be affiliate links, and they appear in two places: the header of a product profile and the product plates at the top of a comparison. Browsing lists, search results, finder results, alternatives, collections, guides and use cases never carry a vendor link.

Each of those links points to our own redirect. On our server it resolves to the active affiliate link for that product when one exists, otherwise to the vendor's official website. The affiliate destination itself never appears in the page.

How they are marked

Every vendor link carries the rel="sponsored nofollow" attribute, whether or not an affiliate link is active for that product, so search engines treat all of them the same way. Product pages state under their sources that some vendor links are affiliate links.

What we may earn

If you follow an affiliate link and later buy from the vendor, the affiliate network may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra. Commissions are the way the site is funded; there is no advertising, no paid placement and no fee for being listed.

Why it cannot change what you see

Facts come from official sources with their provenance recorded. Scores, verdicts, rankings and finder rules are editorial and are written without reference to affiliate arrangements; the affiliate link is stored separately from the product record and is only consulted when a link is resolved. Trending is computed from behaviour on this site and editorial inputs, never from commissions. A product without an affiliate link is listed, scored and ranked exactly like one with it.

What is recorded when you follow one

The click is recorded as an anonymised event with a random reference that is also passed to the affiliate network. What that event contains, and what it does not, is described in the privacy page.
